I was a fan of Doubt and it’s crazy to see just a few months later that Meryl Streep and Amy Adams are BACK TOGETHER AGAIN in Julie & Julia. Except it seems like they won’t have any scenes together except for Amy watching Meryl on a television screen. Go watch the trailer, and then we’ll discuss:
It looks so ADORABLE! I definitely appreciate the Casey Wilson appearance during the lunch scene (I was just hoping and wishing she’d use the voice from the Cougar Den sketch — although it’s not far off to be honest), Amy’s hot on screen love interest Chris Messina, and the use of the Jem song “It’s Amazing” at the end of the trailer. I am a self diagnosed not-a-movie-person, but this is one of the few that I need to see. I don’t know why but this movie really speaks to me.
Perhaps I should take this blog in a new direction and emulate the life of American pioneer Daniel Boone. I will hunt squirrels and blaze a trail through the Cumberland Gap. The weird thing is until I wrote this, I had completely forgotten that I previously emulated Daniel Boone when I dressed up as him for an oral presentation on a character from American history in the 4th grade. Next thing you know I’ll have a book deal and a movie based on my adventures in a few years.
